ITALY 2020

Italy is an extraordinary gem for photography!  It has a rich cultural and architectural history. It has thrived as one of the great nation states and civilizations on the planet for thousands of years.  Italy also has astonishing natural beauty which will be the focus of our tour.

Our adventure will begin in Venice.  Venice is an ancient Adriatic (city of water) metropolitan center first established sometime around the 4th. century AD.  It's a venerable floating city connected with endless water ways, canals, narrow alleyways and pedestrian bridges.  It's highlights include the Grand Canal, St. Marks (Basilica di San Marco), Rialto Bridge and the islands of Burano and Murano.

After Venice will journey northward into the mountains.  The sheer and craggy mountains of northern Italy are called the "Dolomites".   They are some of the most magnificent and majestic mountains on the planet.   We'll visit some of Dolomites most remarkable locations as we wind our way through the quaint little charming mountain towns nestled at the base of these giants.

We'll conclude our tour back in Venice.  After our last dinner together, we'll venture into the quiet back streets of Venice to create some long exposure night scapes.  In short, this tour will offer some of Italys best cultural and nature experiences.

VisionQuest Photo Tours

Definitely expect great locations and incredibly dynamic conditions,  But, this is a VisionQuest photo excursion, so you can expect so much more.  We'll use our ten days together for creative exploration and discovery into new ways of seeing and connecting with the beauty around us.

With VisionQuest Photo Tours there is a special emphasis on your personal creative experience and expression.  This includes both the technical and mechanical use of your camera but it doesn't stop there.

Our cameras can only see and capture what we can see and sense in the moment.  Throughout the tour we'll explore simple yet powerful practices that help us see, sense and feel into the beauty we'll encounter in new and creative ways.  You'll learn how to couple precise technical capture with highly creative thought processes that will allow your artistic capacities to fully flourish.

If you're wanting to take your creative expression to a completely new level, this tour will be a great fit for you!  I hope you can join us in Italy!
